2. Science Fiction & Fantasy Books Empyrean, Book 1

Science Fiction & Fantasy Books In Fourth Wing, Violet Sorrengail, the daughter of a general, is thrust into the world of dragon riders at the prestigious Basgiath War College. Faced with intense training and the looming threat of war, Violet must navigate complex relationships, including her connection with the enigmatic Xaden Riorson. The narrative weaves themes of loyalty, courage, and the challenges of growing up in a world at war.
Violet Sorrengail is a protagonist you can root for—fierce, vulnerable, and determined despite the odds stacked against her. Watching her grow into her own power was incredibly satisfying, but what really kept me turning the pages was her dynamic with Xaden Riorson. Their relationship is a slow burn, layered with tension, distrust, longing, and ultimately, something stronger and deeply earned. Xaden is complex and guarded, but his loyalty and quiet protectiveness toward Violet make their evolving bond one of the best enemies-to-lovers arcs I’ve read in a long time.
3. Best Of Voided Man

The Voided Man is the first book in Anthony Dean’s Science Fiction & Fantasy Books series of the same name. The series currently comprises six books, with a seventh planned for release. The narrative begins with a unique premise: a political dissident is exiled into deep space aboard a ship called the Potato, accompanied only by an AI named Maestro. This setup leads to a compelling exploration of isolation, survival, and the human spirit.
The series has garnered positive reviews for its imaginative storytelling and character development. Readers have compared it to other notable works in the genre, appreciating its unique take on space opera. However, some have noted a shift in tone and style in later books, which may appeal differently to fans of the initial book.
4. The Starship In The Stone

The story follows Thomas, a man seeking redemption, who discovers a hidden starship named Excalibur beneath a mountain. Science Fiction & Fantasy Books The onboard AI reveals that Thomas is the only one capable of commanding the ship. As he becomes entangled in a galactic conflict, Thomas must navigate a universe where ancient powers and advanced technology collide. His journey challenges him to embrace a destiny tied to the legendary King Arthur .
I really enjoyed your book it was unexpected the story line was original and unexpected. I hope when I get my book published it will give others the joy your book has given me. I have enjoyed Syfy for many years now and at 70 I find that in so many ways it has a way of imitating real life. It can explain old mysteries in new ways that are not only entertaining but also therapeutic and even healing. Life is an amazing thing filled with so many unexplained things and Syfy stories are able to help give us a small view of a universe of possibilities if we keep an open mind to them. Thank you again for your story. I can’t wait to read the next chapter in Thomas’s adventure.
5. The Shadow and Bone Trilogy Boxed Set

Follow the journey of Alina Starkov, a young soldier who discovers her latent magical powers and becomes entangled in the complex world of the Grisha, an elite group of magical soldiers. As Alina navigates her newfound abilities and the political intrigue of the Grishaverse, she faces challenges that test her courage, loyalty, and identity.
The trilogy served as the foundation for the Netflix series Shadow and Bone, which brings the Grishaverse to life on screen. The series has garnered a dedicated fanbase and has expanded the universe with additional seasons and spin-offs.Pretty cool story line from what little I remember of the first season Netflix show but it definitely has allll the fill in the blanks detail typical of a book vs movie remake. Each character is easy to understand and determine who is who. Definitely easy to read and doesn’t have too much crazy old English or big boy words for me to figure out. The author spends time unfolding the story line or character back story or imagination of what to come and it leaves you wanting more for sure. I like the little map at the front which helps you understand the lifestyle of what’s going on and I had to reference it multiple times as I was reading.
