This was my first book by Callie Hart, and after seeing all the hype on BookTok, I knew I had to give it a shot. Let me tell you—it did not disappoint! While the beginning starts a bit slow, once the story hits its stride, it completely took over my life.
This was such a roller coaster. I really love this book. Wasn’t expecting it even if it’s been so hyped all over booktok. Kingfisher has my heart. He’s earned his place in my top 5 book boyfriends. And then there’s Saeris. I love how impulsive she is. So strong and she doesn’t even know how strong.
The first part was not so interesting to me. But once you get over the first 20% of the book you will not want to put it down. Last 20% is packed with action, revelations and surprises and while I was sure about some of them ( like Madra for example), others I did not see coming at all. The last sentence of the book got me so hyped for the next one in the series I cannot wait to see what’s gonna happen next!
