Young Inanna, the Sumerian High Priestess, is the newly ordained goddess of her people and the answer to their prayers. Beautiful, intelligent and determined, Inanna must be all these things to face unrelenting drought, famine and unscrupulous temple priestesses.

Crops are failing, and the corrupt powers in the temple have stolen or squandered resources that could have eased the crisis. Generations of religious tradition and beliefs are disintegrating into anarchy and the destruction of a civilization.
